The story quotes lengthy excerpts from two amicus briefs to the Supreme Court co-authored by US Supreme Court nominee Judge John G. Roberts while he was Deputy Solicitor General. One was in the high-school graduation prayer case of Lee v. Weisman. The other was in Westside Community Bd. of Educ. v.
