Churches Cooperate Extensively With States In Katrina Disaster Aid

As the Gulf Coast and surrounding states begin to focus on long-term recovery from Hurricane Katrina, a closer relationship between churches and state and local governments is developing. Churches have become more involved in disaster aid, and are tapping into state funds to reimburse them for those efforts.
