Cert Filed In Title VII "Ministerial Exception" Case

The Associated Press reported yesterday that a petition for certiorari has been filed with the U.S. Supreme Court in Petruska v. Gannon University. In the case, the U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals had held that the "ministerial exception" to Title VII of the 1964 Civil Rights Act precluded recovery by a female chaplain who claimed that she was demoted at Gannon University because she was a woman.
