House of Lords Refuses To Reject Sexual Orientation Anti-Discrimination Rules

Despite demonstrations and pressure from Christians, on Tuesday the House of Lords defeated a motion to reject Northern Ireland's Sexual Orientation Regulations. Gay.com reported yesterday that the Lords voted 199 - 68 to reject a motion by Lord Morrow who had argued that "the regulations threaten to override the conscience and free speech of Christians".
