Missouri Legislature Passes Faith-Based Organization Liaison Act
Yesterday, according to the Rolla Daily News, Missouri's House of Representatives passed the Faith-Based Organization Liaison Act ( HB 888) by a vote of 122-27. Already passed by the Senate, the bill calls for the Social Services Department to appoint regional liaisons to promote the provision of community services by faith-based organizations and provide guidance to them on their rights and responsibilities under federal law.
