Drafting Committee Says Thai Monks Seeking Official Religion Should End Fast

The monks want Buddhism to become the country's official religion under its new constitution. The Nation reports that CDC chairman Prasong Soonsiri said the demand is unjustified and the tactic of fasting in protest is contrary to the Buddhist principle of moderation.
