EEOC Complaint: Muslim Woman Not Hired Because of Headscarf
On Thursday, the Oklahoma chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations announced that it had filed a complaint with the EEOC on behalf of a Muslim woman who was denied employment at Abercrombie & Fitch's Kids store. The complaint alleges that the store's district manager told the woman that she could not be hired because her Islamic headscarf "does not fit the Abercrombie image."
