Bangladesh Takes Next Step To Ban Religious Political Parties

Bangladesh has taken another step toward banning religious-based political parties. Earlier this month, the country's Supreme Court reinstated a constitutional ban on such parties. Now, according to RTT News today, the Election Commission has written to three Islamic political parties directing them to amend their charters to remove various religious references.
