Religious Liberty Legal Scholar Named President of Catholic University

Catholic University announced yesterday that Boston College Law School Dean John H. Garvey has been selected as Catholic University's next president. Garvey is a leading scholar on religious liberty and church-state issues. Among his publications are a casebook titled Religion and the Constitution, co-authored with Michael McConnell and Thomas Berg, and over a dozen articles on religious liberty and Establishment Clause issues.
