U.S. Agrees To Kosher Food Condition For Extradition of Fugitive From Israel
As previously reported, a trial court in Tel Aviv, Israel last month ruled that a U.S. request for extradition of a convicted hit-and-run driver should be denied unless it is assured that the driver will have access to kosher food while serving his sentence. Haaretz reported today that the U.S. has agreed to the condition for extradition. U.S. authorities say that Lawrence Seth Wayne will be placed in a county jail where he can receive kosher food, until a decision is made on a more permanent facility with kosher food which would house him.
