Yesterday, the House Ways and Means Committee held hearings on
Tax Reform and Charitable Contributions. The
testimony of all six panels of witnesses is available from the Committee's website, as is the
Opening Statement of Committee Chairman Dave Camp. In anticipation of the hearing, the staff of the Joint Committee on Taxation released a 55-page report titled
Present Law and Background Relating to the Federal Tax Treatment of Charitable Contributions. [Thanks to Steven H. Sholk for the lead.]
