Yesterday in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, three people were killed and at least 50 were injured in clashes between security forces and demonstrators who are demanding a blasphemy law with provision for the death penalty. According to
Al Jazeera, demonstrators are supporters of a new group, Hefazat-e-Islam, which has a list of 13 demands, including mandatory religious education, a ban on men and women mixing freely together and restoring pledges to Allah in the constitution.
