bdnews24, in Bangladesh a "
mobile court" has fined an imam and a moazzin (Muslim preacher) 10,000 Tk (equivalent of $128 US) for campaigning for a candidate in the upcoming Gazipur City Corporation elections. The judge involved told the press: "We got information that the duo had been campaigning for BNP-backed candidate Professor MA Mannan after Thursday’s Magrib prayers. We went to the spot and caught them in the act. They have been fined for breach of code of conducts."
