Religion News Service on Monday followed up on the resignation earlier this month (see
prior posting) of U.S. Ambassador-at-Large for International Religious Freedom Suzan Johnson Cook. According to RNS, Cook resigned because she is unable to adequately help her sons with the cost of their college educations on her government salary. She plans to pursue speaking, consulting and is looking to sit on corporate boards. Those interviewed about Cook's 30-month tenure had mixed reviews of her effectiveness.
