As reported yesterday by
AP, in two separate amicus briefs a total of 32 states have asked the U.S. Supreme Court to grant certiorari to decide on the constitutionality of state bans on same-sex marriage. Led by Massachusetts, 15 states that allow same-sex marriage joined a brief in
Herbert v. Kitchen, the 10th Circuit case invalidating Utah's ban. (
