Pew Forum yesterday published its study of
The Religious Composition of the 114th Congress which is sworn in today. It is 57.2% Protestant; 30.7% Catholic; 5.2% Jewish; 3% Mormon. Other faiths represented include Orthodox Christian, Buddhist, Muslim, Hindu and Unitarian-Universalist. Only 1 member of the incoming Congress is listed as Unaffiliated, while 20% of American adults say they are unaffiliated. The full report has additional details on members' religious affiliations.
