Kansas Governor Eliminates Anti-Discrimination Protection For LGBT State Employees
Yesterday Kansas Gov. Sam Brownback issued executive orders narrowing employment discrimination protections for state employees. As reported by the Wichita Eagle and a press release from the governor's office, Brownback replaced former Gov. Kathleen Sebelius' employment practices order with a new one. The new executive order eliminates the former ban on state employment discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity, while continuing to ban various other types of discrimination.
