In the Indian state of Kerala yesterday, a High Court judge issued an order allowing Muslim women to wear a
hijab while taking the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT-2016). However they must present themselves a half hour early for frisking.
NDTV reports that the order came during a hearing on a challenge to the dress code for the test prescribed by the Central Board of Secondary Education. The court said that the prescribed dress code amounts to a restriction on religious liberty.
