Settlement Reached In Suit Against Jehovah's Witness Congregation Over Sex Abuse

Penn Live reports that a settlement has been reached on the fifth day of a trial in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in a suit against a Jehovah's Witness congregation and other Jehovah's Witness organizations. In the suit, plaintiff claims that as a teenager she was sexually abused by a member of her church and church elders covered up the situation and failed to report it to authorities after the girl's mother contacted church elders.  The full text of the complaint in the case, Fessler v.
