The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday denied review in
Sterling v. United States,(Docket No. 16-814,
cert. denied 6/5/2017) (
Order List). In the case, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces held that a Marine Lance Corporal failed to establish a
prima facie case under RFRA of a substantial burden to sincerely held religious beliefs in defending against charges growing out of her work space posting of unauthorized signs containing Biblical quotations. (See
prior posting.)
