In
Jackson v. State of Alabama, (AL Ct. Crim. App., Sept. 20, 2019), an Alabama state appeals court in a 135-page opinion dealing with numerous challenges upheld appellant's death sentence. In one portion of the opinion (pp. 34-40), the court, relying extensively on precedent from other federal district courts, concluded that death-qualifying prospective jurors does not violate the jurors' free exercise of religion.
