Thais Approve New Constitution by Divided Vote- No State Religion In It

Thailand voters approved its new Constitution yesterday by a divided vote-- only 57% voting in favor of it. (Bangkok Post). Early on the Constitution was controversial because of its failure to make Buddhism the state religion. That issue, however faded after a speech by Queen Sirikit earlier this month.
