3rd Circuit Hears Arguments On Cross In County Seal
Yesterday, the U.S. 3rd Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments (audio of full arguments) in Freedom From Religion Foundation v. County of Lehigh. In the case, a Pennsylvania federal district court reluctantly held that a large, central Latin cross in the seal and flag of Lehigh County, Pennsylvania violate the Establishment Clause under the Lemon test and the endorsement test.
