Today both the FDA and the manufacturer of the abortion drug mifepristone filed with the U.S. Supreme Court applications for a stay of the Texas federal district court's Order invalidating the FDA's approval of the drug. The 5th Circuit Court of Appeals allowed part of the district court's order to remain in effect. Today's Applications for a Stay were filed with Justice Alito, the Justice assigned by the Court to receive emergency applications from the 5th Circuit.
