Supreme Court Denies Review Of California Donor Disclosure Law
The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday denied certiorari in Center for Competitive Politics v. Harris, (Docket No. 15-152, cert. denied 11/9/2015). (Order List). In the case, the U.S. 9th Circuit Court of Appeals upheld California's requirement that in order to solicit tax deductible contributions in the state, a charity or other non-profit must file a non-public annual report that includes an unredacted IRS Form 990 Schedule B, the names and contributions of significant donors.
