Cert. Denied In Challenge To California Sexual Orientation Therapy Ban

The U.S. Supreme Court yesterday denied review in Welch v. Brown (Docket No., 16-845, cert. denied 5/1/2017). (Order List.) In the case, the 9th Circuit rejected facial free exercise and Establishment Clause challenges to California's ban on state-licensed mental health professionals providing "sexual orientation change efforts" for patients under 18.
